This is the worst experience i ever had!!! Dr. Shapter's behavior was flat out disgusting towards me (the mother). He tried reprimanding me for not having my daughter to a dentist until she was 3 not knowing that she should of been going since she got her first tooth. Then as he was examining my daughter he was trying to direct her to put her teeth together which she was not understanding so i told her in a way she would understand and he quickly put his tools down and aggressively wheeled his chair towards me and said i told you to be quiet we have this handled. His behavior is not only disgusting but you can go as far as saying it is abusive!!! For his staff to excuse his behavior is just condoning his abusive behavior and it is just flat out disgusting!!! Until i find another dentist for my daughter she will absolutely NOT be left alone at any point during her future appointments with him or his staff! I would not recommend him but if you have no choice because of insurance reasons like my self i suggest you stay with you child during the appointments at all times because if the doctor and staff are abusive towards the parents like i experienced then i would assume he is the sam

I am not one to ever bash an office or say something negative about a facility but when a provider tells me, “you sit over there and be quiet, I am in charge of your child now!” Not to mention the hygienist shoving my sons past medical history form in my face because he had a new diagnosis that wasn’t on it. They never ask you to update it. Absolutely would not recommend

Only reason we have gone to this office is because it is one of the only in the area that accepts our insurance. Dr. Shapter has the worst bedside manner of any doctor I have had to deal with personally and as a parent. He is rude, condescending and completely lacks respect for others (including patients, parents and his employees). They prefer you don’t go back with your child, which is unsettling, but I honestly believe it is so parents have as little contact as possible with him because of his incredibly rude behavior. Their waiting room is cramped, unclean and smells. Front office staff is less than friendly, and their schedule is always overbooked. The only saving grace is that the dental techs are polite and good with children.

Best dentist for children hands down. The first visit you go back with your kids, and he gets to know you and your children. He will find out your habits, good and bad. He will show you what your doing right and what your doing wrong. I have seen people get insulted when he shows them how to brush teeth properly but, to be a good parent we are there to learn and we did. No need to get insulted. My three girls loved Dr Shapter. He took good care of them, he was so good that they eventually were no longer afraid to go to the dentist , one of them even wants to be a dentist. Bringing my children here was the best choice i have ever made for them as far as medical professionals go. The staff was always amazing and now that my children have grown up, I really miss seeing doc and all the staff.

Idk why people constantly give it bad reviews. Yesterday was my daughter's first visit here. And she loved it, so did all the other kids who were there playing, they even told her it was fun and there is nothing to be afraid of. For the first visit parents are allowed back. But there was another little girl who I personally knew who was back by herself and having a blast. I think these particular people have done something to get kicked out of his practice and are just being spiteful. There is nothing wrong with this dentistry
